Daryl Cain is about to release his debut song “Restless Wings” much to the excitement of his many fans. He has been compared to Warner Bros. recording artist Seal numerous times because of his smooth, melodic, and soulful, voice. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Daryl began singing at a very young age and was, even then, influenced by several musicians. A few artists that he most admires include Stevie Wonder, Brian Mcknight, Usher, Brandy, and Mariah Carey. His dream has always been to touch the world with his voice and message-that being, a message of unity and love.
Daryl is looking to jumpstart his career with the release of “Restless Wings”. He is currently working with producer Paul Vanderbeck who resides in the Philadelphia area. The Manhattan Model Search which took place back in 2003 is responsible for their paths crossing. Since then they’ve recorded several covers and a few originals which will be released in the upcoming months. Paul Vanderbeck said from the very beginning of their relationship that the collaboration between the two would produce very unique music.
Daryl’s first opportunity to share his voice with others commenced with his decision to join a children’s choir in early middle school. In the years following, he sang tenor parts in multiple choirs. Once he arrived at the University of Michigan he was granted even more opportunities to share his voice with the public, as he performed in various campus shows. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in AOSS (Atmospheric and Oceanic Space Sciences) he joined the a cappella group 58 Greene where he remained for three years. Since then he has devoted his time and energy to achieving his dream of becoming a famous recording artist who will make a huge impact on this world.
With his eyes focused on the eventual goal of touching millions of individuals, he is determined to gain exposure by performing anywhere possible- local clubs, cafes, and even open mic nights. From there the plan is to batten his fan base and have his music played on local radio stations. He hopes to also have articles written about him and his quest in local newspapers. As his fan base continues to grow, he believes that record labels will begin to take an interest and wonder who this Daryl Cain is and what he’s all about. With any luck, they will ask what all the hype is about and want to hear his music. Becoming a signed recording artist will mark the next chapter of his life and confirm what he knows is his purpose.
